The best part of staying in a city like Delhi is the numerous chances I get to do new things, explore new areas, and find out about new interests. In a way, this city is always thriving, always exciting for me.
Last weekend I had gone to visit the New Delhi Palate Fest at Nehru Park in Delhi, which was first of its kind of food festival in the city.

Although it’s no surprise that married to the foodie like Dipto Basu Photography, I will probably land up exploring cuisines on a weekend, than do anything else. And yet, the festival caught me by surprise! From the huge amount of cars clogging the streets around very centrally located Nehru Park in the Chanakyapuri area of Lutyen’s Delhi, to the amount of people patiently waiting for their turns to eat waffles, to the peppy music mixed by a DJ, it was a Sunday evening well spent. With 60 restaurants of Delhi having their outlets, the event also featured a marketplace for food ingredients, and a play-zone for children.
In short, it was a gastronomical delight, although I was a little disappointed with less number of cuisines, really expected a bit more variety. But may be I will get to see and taste more next year, if organizers decide to go for another episode of the same.
